Weekly Star Atlas Newsletter #155

The past week saw the first Golden Carnival raffle of the 2624 season! Meanwhile, ticket submissions for this second week have opened up. More newsworthy, we feel, however, are the reveals on upcoming gameplay from the economic team. If you want to learn more about Local Markets and RFRs, then look no further! Otherwise, not much has happened, so we’ll keep this one short and to the point.

Weekly Star Atlas Newsletter #154

Last week started off quietly, but everything changed when the team launched the much-anticipated Golden Carnival on Friday! This exciting, 16-week-long event easily took center stage, and as a result—and lack of other news— this week’s issue is almost entirely dedicated to all things Carnival!

Weekly Star Atlas Newsletter #153

We had a very quiet week, with no official (minor) announcements of any kind. Fortunately, the team shared some great visuals, Michael (CEO) was interviewed, and the Starvlog team released part 1 of their Singapore Report!

Weekly Star Atlas Newsletter #152

We had a very quiet week, so we’ll keep it short today. The most prominent news will be the changes rolled out in SAGE Labs: Starbased, affecting Fleet Destruction and SDU Scanning. Besides that, the Atlas Brew interview with Francesca is worth watching! To wrap this issue up, we share a community question regarding in-game labor markets along with the responses from Danny (CPO) and Michael (CEO).

Weekly Star Atlas Newsletter #151

After a month-long election process, the first Star Atlas DAO Council has been chosen! There were some last-minute surprises, likely the result of the debate that took place two days before the second round of voting closed. In other news, the Golden Ticket recipe for 2024 has been revealed.

Weekly Star Atlas Newsletter #150

We had another quiet post-IMPACT week regarding Star Atlas news. We received a new Economic Report for Q3 of 2024, and an interesting Economic Forum session followed up on that this past Thursday. The DAO Council elections are also going strong, with the voting deadline coming up this Friday! Finally, we wrap this issue up with a follow-up of last week’s dialogue regarding community concerns. This time, Michael (CEO) stepped in to shed some light on the various topics. Though it’s a long read, we feel it is worth sharing with you!

Weekly Star Atlas Newsletter #149

After the whirlwind that was IMPACT, the dust slowly settled again. Most team members are back home, and everyone is eager to release cool stuff over the coming months. Logically, news has been slow this past week, but we picked some tidbits for you! The biggest item is no doubt that Round 2 of the Council Elections has started! Furthermore, we now have the official list of Naabathon winners and some additional notes on the IMPACT Summit itself. Lastly, there was some back-and-forth between concerned community members and Danny (CPO), which we included at the end as Danny’s answers are insightful and worth sharing.

Weekly Star Atlas Newsletter #148

The IMPACT Summit is a wrap! The Breakpoint side conference, organized by ATMTA, is over, and many team members and most community members have been making their way back home or are about to. The event was well executed, without any delay, and mostly without technical issues. But that is not all that happened–despite perhaps feeling that way when you are present in this bubble for a full week. The Naabathon winners were announced on stage during IMPACT, and so were the 12 DAO Council candidates who made it to the final voting round.

Weekly Star Atlas Newsletter #147

Crew Cards are live in SAGE Starbased, and Round 1 of the Council Election is underway! Meanwhile, a good chunk of the team is making their (lengthy) way to Singapore! Michael (CEO) will join a panel on Token2049 while there, but the real deal is the IMPACT Summit that will take place later this week. Read on to learn more about what to expect during this one day that is all about Star Atlas!

Weekly Star Atlas Newsletter #146

Another relatively quiet week is behind us, but that also means we’re one week closer to the IMPACT Summit! This week, we’ve got some small updates on Breakpoint, the aforementioned IMPACT Summit, Crew & SAGE, Council Elections, the Economic Forum, and the Naabathon!

Weekly Star Atlas Newsletter #145

With the Star Atlas IMPACT Summit rapidly approaching, the past week has been very light on news. Nevertheless, the Council elections are in full swing, with the past Atlas Brew being dedicated to interviewing all the candidates. We also unearthed some never-before-seen concept art. Lastly, circling back to the IMPACT Summit, the team released a few new details!

Weekly Star Atlas Newsletter #144

Crew Trades are live on Tensor, but that is certainly not all there is to share with regard to the new Crew Card collection! Issues were fixed, art was rerolled, and aptitude roll chances were updated. Besides Crew updates, the Star Atlas DAO Council elections are still in full swing! 22 community members stepped forward, and soon, it will be up to you to vote for whoever you’d like to see in there!

Weekly Star Atlas Newsletter #143

Crew Cards are live! Last week, the team launched the Crew Pack opening experience and added an inventory of additional Packs to their marketplace. Overall, it has been a somewhat rough experience. Meanwhile, most of the experience is working at this point, though there are still some loose ends for the team to fix.

Weekly Star Atlas Newsletter #142

This past week was all about Crew! The snapshot took place, the airdrop almost took place, and this week, people will start opening up their Crew Packs with the custom opening experience the team has created! Packs will go on sale this Tuesday, and the team has been leaking Crew Cards left and right to drum up hype! But that is not all there was going on! The second and third rounds of POLIS Improvement Proposals have been approved, the first phase of the Council Elections is underway, and the IMPACT Summit is drawing near!

Weekly Star Atlas Newsletter #141

This past week was a quiet one, and therefore, we will primarily look ahead a little at what is to come this week. Of course, the big ticket item is the imminent Crew Airdrop, but this week could also see the Council Elections kick off. The one thing that did happen this past week was the third episode of the Economic Forum took place, where the Econ team showed us a bunch of cool graphs and tables!

Weekly Star Atlas Newsletter #140

As quiet as it was two weeks ago, so busy was the last one! The biggest news, undoubtedly, is that the Crew launch is imminent! Other big news was the hackathon announcement, dubbed “Naabathon”. On the Governance side of things, PIP 1 and 2 passed, and PIP 3 and 4 can be voted on. The team also added a brand new PIP-5 that is now open to voting. As expected, it proposes that the DAO beef up the Naabathon rewards. And that was not even everything that happened!

Weekly Star Atlas Newsletter #139

After the news frenzy surrounding the Town Hall and, to a lesser extent, the launch of the DAO Governance, this past week was pretty light on news. That said, the big news last week was some community research into the token sell pressure that the ATLAS and POLIS tokens are experiencing. In addition, Santi (Community Director) raised the curtains a little regarding their upcoming Hackathon.

Weekly Star Atlas Newsletter #138

The past week saw the launch of the DAO Governance, with the first two proposals meanwhile having been opened up for voting! This has been the focal point of community discussions on Discord ever since the full PIP descriptions were revealed. In other news, as announced, the Community Team updated their live Roadmap to reflect the UE5 pivot mentioned during the Town Hall the week prior. But perhaps much more interesting are additional details shared by Michael (CEO) concerning the upcoming Fleet Rentals (later this year).

Weekly Star Atlas Newsletter #137

Last Wednesday, the team hosted the 43rd Town Hall, which was a big one! It lasted well over two hours and was packed with the latest changes and updates from the team. Major highlights were the imminent DAO launch, the Star Atlas Summit, and an overhaul of the UE5 roadmap. But that is not all; the team also published the second Economic Quarterly Report of 2024!

Weekly Star Atlas Newsletter #136

An uneventful week went by, but that is no surprise as the team is likely saving the majority of the news for the Town Hall later this week! We were, however, treated to the second Economic Forum, and of course, the Honeyland collaboration finally happened.
